Legal
Terms of Service
Effective date: July 15, 2026
01
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use TactPath.
You may use TactPath only for your own lawful purposes. TactPath is not an employer or team account, and you may not create or manage an account on behalf of another person, an employer, or a team without our written approval.
02
What TactPath Is
TactPath is a private AI workplace communication companion for personal use. It helps users draft workplace replies, prepare for difficult conversations, and reflect after stressful work moments.
TactPath may offer Free, Pro, and waitlist-based plans with different features, usage limits, and availability.
The Free plan is not a paid trial and does not automatically convert into a paid subscription. A paid subscription begins only when you explicitly select a paid offer and authorize payment.
03
What TactPath Is Not
TactPath is not a law firm, lawyer, HR advisor, medical provider, therapist, crisis service, employer tool, or workplace monitoring system.
TactPath does not make legal, medical, therapeutic, employment, HR, or workplace-policy decisions. It does not auto-send messages and does not communicate with your employer or coworkers on your behalf.
You should seek qualified professional help for legal, medical, HR, safety, crisis, or other matters requiring professional judgment.
04
Accounts and Account Security
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining the security of your login credentials, and all activity conducted through your account.
You must promptly notify us at support@tactpath.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
You may not share, sell, transfer, or misuse an account, attempt to access another user's account, or circumvent authentication, plan, or usage controls.
05
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to use any AI-generated output.
You should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information, confidential company secrets, legal documents, medical information, or private information about other people.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit content to TactPath and to allow it to be processed as described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
06
Acceptable Use
You may not use TactPath to:
- threaten, harass, defame, discriminate against, exploit, or retaliate against another person;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent the source of content;
- violate workplace confidentiality, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or applicable law;
- upload malicious code or unlawful content;
- generate or facilitate fraud, abuse, unauthorized surveillance, or harmful activity;
- reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code or model components except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- bypass plan limits, security controls, or access restrictions;
- interfere with the operation, integrity, or security of the service; or
- use automated means to access the service in a way that creates unreasonable load or violates stated product limits.
07
Plans, Usage, and Availability
Plan features, usage allowances, prices, and availability are displayed in the product and may change over time.
Usage allowances have no cash value, are not transferable, and may reset or expire according to the applicable plan. Unused monthly usage does not roll over unless the product expressly states otherwise.
Premium features identified as planned or waitlist-only are not available for purchase and do not create a promise that those features will be released.
We may apply reasonable technical limits to protect reliability, security, and fair use. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every feature will always remain available.
08
Paid Subscriptions, Automatic Renewal, and Cancellation
Paid subscriptions are processed by our payment provider. Paid access begins only after billing confirmation is received and reflected in your TactPath account.
Before you authorize payment, the checkout flow will display the price, billing period, and applicable automatic-renewal terms for the selected offer.
Paid subscriptions automatically renew for the billing period selected at checkout, such as monthly or yearly, unless you cancel before the next renewal date. By starting a paid subscription, you authorize recurring charges for the displayed subscription price and applicable taxes at the beginning of each renewal period.
You may cancel at any time through Account & Billing. Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal. Unless the product expressly states otherwise, your paid access continues until the end of the current paid billing period.
We may provide renewal reminders and will provide notice of material changes to subscription pricing or renewal terms when required by applicable law.
Deleting TactPath data or closing access to your account does not necessarily cancel a subscription managed by the payment provider. Before deleting your account or all product data, cancel any active subscription through Account & Billing unless the product expressly confirms that subscription cancellation is included in the deletion flow.
09
User Content and Permission to Process It
As between you and TactPath, you retain any rights you have in the content you submit.
You grant TactPath a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, transmit, process, reproduce, and display your content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and support the service and to comply with law. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for limited copies retained as reasonably necessary for security, billing, fraud prevention, backup integrity, or legal obligations.
TactPath does not claim ownership of your workplace content.
10
AI-Generated Output
AI-generated output may be incomplete, incorrect, unsuitable, or similar to output generated for other users.
TactPath does not guarantee that output is accurate, unique, non-infringing, legally safe, HR-compliant, or appropriate for every workplace situation.
Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, you may use output for your personal workplace communication. You are responsible for reviewing output and for any decision, message, or action based on it.
11
TactPath Intellectual Property
TactPath and its software, design, branding, documentation, templates, and product content are owned by TactPath or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use the service in accordance with your plan. They do not transfer ownership of TactPath technology or branding to you.
If you voluntarily provide product feedback, you allow TactPath to use that feedback to improve the service without identifying you or owing compensation, provided that we do not use the workplace content included in a support request for unrelated purposes.
12
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how TactPath collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information and describes the choices available to you.
Your use of TactPath is subject to the Privacy Policy.
13
Third-Party Services
TactPath relies on third-party services for functions such as authentication, hosting, email, billing, security, and AI processing. TactPath does not use a third-party product analytics service in the MVP.
Your use of a third-party checkout, billing portal, or authentication service may also be subject to that provider's terms and privacy practices. TactPath is not responsible for a third-party service to the extent an issue is caused by that provider and outside TactPath's reasonable control.
14
Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, plans, limits, or parts of the service as the product evolves.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create a security or legal risk, fail to pay applicable charges, or use TactPath in a way that could harm users, the service, or third parties.
Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice before a material service discontinuation or account termination, unless immediate action is needed for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or protection of others.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions, will continue to apply.
15
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves.
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice through the service, by email, or by another appropriate method before the changes take effect when required by law.
Your continued use of TactPath after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service and cancel any active subscription before its next renewal.
16
Disclaimers
TactPath is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure from every threat, or suitable for every workplace situation.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
17
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TactPath will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, employment outcomes, workplace disputes, reputational harm, or decisions made based on AI-generated output.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TactPath's total liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to TactPath for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 100.
The limitations in this section do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
18
Resolving Concerns
Before starting a formal claim, you agree to contact support@tactpath.com and provide a reasonable description of the issue so that both sides can attempt to resolve it informally for at least 30 days.
These Terms are governed by applicable law without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
19
General Terms
These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and TactPath regarding the service, except for any additional terms presented for a specific feature or paid offer.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. TactPath may assign these Terms as part of a reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of the service, subject to applicable law.
